The Christmas Song

Here's one of my favourite instrumental music by Kenny G and thought of sharing it with ya all. It's simply nice, relaxing and soothing, and whenever I listen to it, it fills me with Christmas spirit.

Happy listening everyone. :)

^ _ ^

If I'm not mistaken, this is my first time posting an emoticon as the 'title' on my blog. I know it's a bit childish and silly, heck, it's one of my favourite ways to express my emotion. And after all, aren't we in the cyber world? :)

Anyways, I would like to say it's so so sweet of my Special on Saturday and I was so so happy to see him. Oh yes, I'm feelin' so much better and in fact, I'm feelin' good.

* To my Special, the 'tong sui' was delicious. And ya know what, you're so sweet, sweeter than the 'tong sui'. My sugar rush you are indeed...

--------------------------------------------------------

Went shopping at Sg.Wang yesterday (accompanied my mom while my sis went for hair-rebonding) and bought some cosmetics and a golden-beige baby doll velvet-lacy top. Ahh... truly like it lots. And speaking about beauty and vanity, it's about time to get myself pamper and indulge, and am looking forward to my d-i-y face masque (with Kenny G's Xmas instrumental songs playing at the background) soon.

--------------------------------------------------------

For my upcoming post on my blog, it'd be something Xmas-sy and since the festive season is just around the corner, I've decided to transform my blog into a more Xmas-sy feel. Therefore, I embedded a gold Xmas decoration at the top of my blog. And don't ya think it looks nice?

Alright then, that's all for now, but I'll be back for more.

Simply Artistic II - Chocolates

Came across some very nice pictures at veer.com and thought of posting them on my blog. Oh yes, chocolates... and they look delicious, don't they? :P

If I were to choose between ice-cream and chocolates, definitely I'd choose the latter. Heck, ice-cream still give us a reason to indulge, ain't it? :)

Quick Update

It's December already, and how time flies. Well, I always like December and I gotta say it's one of my favourite months of the year. Anyway, if you do notice, I've been blogging pretty less, so I thought of updating about what I've been up to lately.

  • Mega Sales is back! Oops...not Mega Sale but Year End Sale instead. Yes, it has been changed, but to me, Mega Sale or Year End Sale has no difference. After all, there are still sales everywhere! :D Anyway, I didn't really buy anything on Saturday and seemed like not many things that I saw attracted me. Still, I'm looking forward to my next shopping trip, tee-hee. And oh yes, I coloured my hair again and this time, it's more brownish and golden and looks so obvious under the sun. Heck, I still love it.
  • Just three words - Exploration of creativity. ;)
Alright then, I'll be back for more.

Creativity

When I was kid and a teen, I loved to draw, paint and design. I'd spent hours in my room producing artwork or simply sketching on a drawing pad. It's one of my hobbies and I gotta say creativity opened my mind to endless imaginations and wonders. But as time goes by and as I grow up, I begin to do those things less and less although there's still passion inside me.

As I had some free time lately, I went back to creativity and I found it nice and relaxing. It's been ages since I last produced an artwork or drew, so it wasn't surprising that I ran out of ideas, and worse, inspiration stuck in between. It was pretty frustrating as my first attempt didn't work, but as I tried to open up my mind, my second attempt was a success and yes, I was satisfied. :)

I realized more that creativity takes time and patience, and I gotta agree with Epicetetus (Greek philosopher associated with the Stoics, AD 55-c.135) that "No great thing is created suddenly."

JetAudio Basic 6.2.6

Downloaded JetAudio onto my PC and I gotta say it's such an excellent player, compares to Windows Media Player and Winamp. I truly love its features such as the transparent equalizer, inbuilt lyric search, timer and alarm, CD ripping and format conversion, burner, recorder, built in Cross-fader and great EQ (with touches like bass expansion and surround support). It's also user-friendly, low on system resources (unlike WMP), loads quickly, plays a huge variety of media types (both music and video files) and even enables you to create Internet broadcast (JetCast). As a music lover myself, I'm very particular with sound quality and I gotta say JetAudio doesn't let me down.

Got to listen to James Morrison's album 'Undiscovered' and I gotta say it's a great album. It's soulful (with a bit of jazz), easy listening and simply mesmerizing. Ahh, I think I'm getting hooked.

~ I n s p i r a t i o n a l Q u o t e s ~

I always love inspirational quotes. This is because they are simply soothing and uplifting, and I find them nurturing my mind and soul. I still remember when I was a teen, I was so into those quotes 'till one of my friends called me 'Queen of Inspirational Quotes'. Well, I'm not sure if I still am, but one thing I know, I never miss reading them whenever an opportunity arise. :)

Here are some of my favourite quotes and I thought of posting them here to share with ya all.

Stephanie II

This is a hermit crab that my Special and I found while we were at Coral Island, Tioman.

Introducing Stephanie II. Oh well, my Special named it after me, tee-hee! And look at her, ain't she cute? But she's very shy and kept hiding in her shell.

My Special held her and after calling her several times, she came out and greeted us. Ahh... :)

Well, I did a little research on hermit crabs and did ya know they can be kept as pets? In fact, hermit crabs are known as one of the inexpensive and exotic pets today. Hmm, perhaps I should keep one too. :p

"Surprise" and Geeky Test

Had a "surprise" short test in class this morning. None of us was prepared as there wasn't any notice given, and I believe my lecturer wanted to see our progress and performance at class. Nevertheless, I think I did well. :)

And speaking about geeky-ness, as I wore my new pink eye glasses to class today, many of my friends were kinda surprised because I usually wear contact lenses whenever I'm at outdoors. As I looked at myself, I think I looked pretty geeky with a dose of smartness added in, tee-hee. Some of my friends commented I looked very studious. Some even worse as they commented I looked like an aunt and grandma, heck, I think it's pretty interesting to have a different look once in a while. ;)

Since I felt pretty geeky today, I took a Geek test online and I'm 42.5% geeky. Ahh, not that geeky after all! :)

Do I Look Tanned

For the first time, I decided to post one of my close-up pictures on my blog. I know I've been pretty personal for all these while, but now I thought it's nice to try something different. Well, this picture was taken on Saturday before I went to 1 Utama Shopping Mall with my family. I was pretty sick actually (with a burning sensation in my throat - tonsillitis & a bit of flu) but it didn't stop me from posing, tee-hee :p Anyways, I think this picture also depicts how tanned I am (although my face is covered with sheer foundation and makeup) and yes, this is how I look after I got back from Tioman with my Special :D

P.S I'm getting so much better now - no more sorethroat and flu

Beach Memories

I always love the beach. To me, it simply takes my breath away and gives me a sense of serenity and timelessness. And not forgetting about the rhythmic sound as the waves crashes upon the sand and yes, it's amazing. As I stepped down on the Salang Jetty, Pulau Tioman on the 22nd of October 2006, I knew wonderful moments were awaiting me, and more wonderful and beautiful ones as my Special was there with me.

Day 1

After one and a half hour ride of ferry from Mersing to Salang, we finally reached our destination. We’re led to our chalet and after we placed our belongings, we headed down to the restaurant that overlooked the sea. It’s a simple kampong-style restaurant and I think it’s nice as it suited the ambience and surrounding perfectly. Anyways, we had a quick lunch and the next thing I knew, our activities for the day was to snorkel (as a part of practice session) and my heart nearly dropped as I hadn’t snorkel before. I began to feel nervous but deep down, I was mixed with emotions as excitement took over me. After a short briefing and Q&A, I was convinced and had enough courage to get to the sea to snorkel. :)

And the moment finally arrived. After I put on the snorkeling gear, I was all set to go, and so was my Special. The tour guide’s assistant was with us to assist and guide us. Eventually, nervousness began to creep up on me as we moved a few meters away from the beach. I just couldn’t stop thinking what if I was swept away to another side, but heck, I managed to get through and I began to ease myself and enjoyed the beautiful view of the underwater. There were so many fishes and corals, and one moment that I could remember vividly was, a school of fish came swimming around me and oh boy, I felt so ticklish. Well, thanks to my Special for throwing breadcrumbs at me to attract them :P. And how could I forget about the corals. They looked so nice, yet, sharp and dangerous. :( We’re cut by the corals but thank goodness they were just minor cuts and scrapes, but since then, I think I developed a little phobia for the corals. Well, if I had to choose between corals and fishes, definitely, I’d choose the latter although I did fear of them in the very first place. Oh well, after all, it’s my first time and I think I did pretty cool, at least, I did not freak myself completely in the sea, tee-hee! :p

Later in the evening, we had dinner and had our pictures taken together around the island. It was great and most of the night view was beautiful, despite not one cluster of stars at the skies. Oh yeah, I love the stars, too bad, none of them appeared. Nevertheless, nothing mattered as my Special was with me, and I could see the dark sea, some boats floating, and listened to the sound of crashing waves. Truly nice. And how could I forget about the candles that my Special brought. Although he couldn’t place them on the sand at the beach (due to strong wind), he placed it below the stairs of our chalet and voila, candles that were aranged in a heart-shaped, burning prettily in the night. Aww..he truly made me melt! ♥

Day 2

More snorkelling activities. Yes, it's the day that I got to snorkel in the middle of the sea and in other words, for real. After breakfast, we're told to get ready and in an hour or so, we took off. We reached an island after several minutes and it's wonderful. The water was blue and I could see fishes swimming around from the boat. Despite that, I was hesistant to descend into the water (in fear) but as time went by, my nervousness began to diminish. After all, the water and the living things in the sea were too nice and I just couldn't afford to sit in the boat and watch. The next thing I knew, I was in the cool water and I began to adapt myself to the surrounding. With my life jacket, I floated at ease and with my Special and I holding hands, we snorkelled and enjoyed the beautiful view of the underwater.

After for a short while, it's time to head to Malang Rock. This time, I was pretty reluctant to snorkel as I was pretty tired and I didn't feel too good in the sea. My dive master was like "C'mon, it's very nice down here. You'll regret if you stay in the boat." I sat there thinking and after for a minute, I was like "Ok". And there I went, I jumped into the water and snorkelled with my Special by my side. And of course, how could I forget about the scary big boulder rock that had only about one metre opening. Nevertheless, we continued to swim and snorkel with gladness.

And last but not least, our last stop was at the Tulai Island, which is also known as the Coral Island. As we reached there, the beautiful view took my breath away and I was truly amazed. The island was simply beautiful. The sands were white and powdery soft. The water was blue--green in colour and it's so clear, and enticing enough that I couldn't help but to dip into the water. Of course, my Special and I spent almost a couple of hours there, taking pictures, and frolicking by the sea. And speaking about hermit crabs, we spotted two and they were so tiny and cute, and it's so sweet of my Special to name one of them after me, tee-hee! :P And how could I forget about the big, big heart shaped on the sand that my Special did (using his foot prints) and boy, I melted deep inside. Oh yes, my Sugar Rush, he is! Ahh... ♥

By the time we got back to our chalet, it's already in the evening and after rested for a short while, we headed to the restaurant to have BBQ dinner. The dinner was great and I gotta say the food was finger-licking good and yes, very delicious! And it's more wonderful as I dined with my Special, overlooked the sea and could hear the soothing crashing waves upon the sand. :D After having dinner, we walked around, had our pictures taken together, and not forgetting that we also went to a mini-bar and got to meet some new people.

Day 3

It's our last day at Salang, Tioman Island. After breakfast, we packed our belongings and while waiting for the speedboat to transfer us to Mersing, we took a few pictures with our tour guide for remembrance. We actually decided to extend our stay but since we'd already had our bus tickets (+ schedule clashed), we had to leave. Nevertheless, we enjoyed ourselves very much during the 3 days / 2 nights stay and I gotta say it's simply wonderful.

While I was at Tioman Island, I realized it's great to try new things, and to learn new things in life. Although I hadn't snorkel before, although I fear in the very first place, it didn't stop me for moving forward, and one of the things that I accomplished is snorkelling and I think I begin to have a passion for it.

And the most important is, I got to travel with my Special. It's so beautiful, lovely and wonderful travelling with him and I love every single moment that we spent and shared together.

*To my Special,

Sun, sea, sand and view
But the best moment is
Spending time with you!

At The Mountain Peak

18th of October, 2006 - Wednesday (Day 1)

My Special (+ his friends) and I went all the way to the peak by bus. Stayed at First World Hotel, Genting Highlands. After checking in, we refreshed ourselves, had lunch and headed to the Outdoor Theme Park. It was pretty cold, but thank goodness, it didn't rain as there were dark clouds hanging at the sky. Anyways, we had all types of rides, from boating to roller coasters and I gotta say the scariest ride that I had was Corkscrew as I screamed all my lungs out, but heck, it's fun. And speaking about Spaceshot, none of us dared to give it a go as it looked really scary as it got up to the top. I guess I ain't a daredevil after all, haha! Later in the evening, we had dinner together, took a stroll outside, had our pictures taken and simply enjoyed the cool, cool air and mist. And of course, not forgetting about casino. Well, I didn't gamble like crazy (not a gambling maniac or addict) but I played the jackpot in hope that Lady Luck would smile at me, but did she? Too bad she didn't as her smiling was not consistent and as a result, I lost RM10. My Special didn't win too, and so were rest of his friends.

19th of October, 2006 - Thursday (Day 2)

Had breakfast buffet at First World Hotel Cafe. Didn't eat much, just moderately but I gotta say the food was nice. After breakfast, we continued to have fun at the theme park but this time, it's the indoor one, and we went for a monorail ride, bumper cars and the most exciting was the Haunted Adventure and Snow World. Haunted Adventure was really scary and although it's my second time going in, it still freaked me out. As usual, I screamed and it's funny to see that my Special had to drag me each steps all the way as I was reluctant to walk. Well, I was afraid to face any "popping out ghosts" especially at those time where there's no warning given. Heck, we managed to got through despite just a few of us, and oh yes, bravo, bravo, bravo! :D

Besides, we also went into Snow World and oh my, it was freezing cold. And as far as I could remember, it was negative 4 degree celcius. Despite that, we managed to stay in for quite long as we took a picture or two and played with the slides and simply walked around. And how could I forget about my Special's cheeky-cuteness where he put some man-made snow on both of my calves and also, to throw it at me. But when comes to think about it, I should have wore long pants instead of 3/4 kinda pants as I looked inviting to be "attacked", haha! Later, after we finished having rides and walking around, we had lunch at Pizza Hut while waiting for the bus to get back to KL.

Well, it's my first time travelling with my Special (and his friends) and I gotta say it's so much fun and I enjoyed myself very much. Although time flies, I'll never forget each moment that we had. ♥

Lil' note : I'll be blogging about my trip to Pulau Tioman in my next post :)

Art of Baking III (Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies)

As my mom baked some cookies for my dad last week (she was influenced by me eventually, tee-hee :p), I thought of baking some for my Special too (it's always my pleasure to bake for him), and below is a few pictures that took by Mel.

Creaming, as usual

Dough which has been nearly used up, and can you spot the choco chips? :)

Pre-heating...

Cookies waiting to be baked

Finally, they are in the heated oven

And voila :)

The cookies were pretty okay but a bit sweet as I added too much of choco chips, hee... Well, now I know what to reduce next time and can't wait to try another new recipe. :)

Michael Wong's Commitment Concert 2006

Michael Wong's concert was the second chinese concert I attended after Andy Lau's Vision Tour in Malaysia. For all these while, I had little interest in going or attending a chinese concert, mainly because I knew nothing much about chinese stars and the songs that they sing. But after attending two chinese concerts and having great experiences, I begin to realize that it doesn't matter what languages the songs are, and who the artists / singers are, as long as it is music, it brings enjoyment and even touches one's soul. According to Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, Outre-Mer, "Music is the universal language of mankind" and yes, I gotta agree with him because after all, doesn't music transcends boundaries? :)

On Sunday, 1st of October, Mel and I attended Michael's concert at Bukit Jalil and although the whole concert was in Mandarin, that didn't stop me from indulging in live music and enjoying myself. Well, the concert was a great one and certainly, there were several moments which I couldn't forget. The first was the opening where it started out with a bang, and appeared two person clothed in black and white ( Michael was in white) and both of them sang a song together. The guest artist who was in black wasn't revealed though and this made me very curious. Anyway, the concert continued and Michael did a bit of dancing and it surprised me because what I knew about him was that, he's well-known for his ballads, slow kind of music. But he performed well (together with some dancers in the background).

Besides, Michael also belted out some songs while he was playing the piano and I gotta say it's simply wonderful. And not forgetting he walked down to the stage, stayed close and shook hands with some of his fans. And there was another moment that caught my attention while he was singing 'Commitment'. His fans were throwing paper planes around the stadium ( I did throw one too) and the whole stadium could be seen with flying paper planes and ahh...so magical. Well, I also love his ending where he sang Tong Hua (Fairytale) and it got me pretty excited, because at least, I knew about the song and believe it or not, I could even sing the chorus part, hehe. Thanks to Mel for always playing Tong Hua in the room and got me learn (the song) by heart! :)

As for production, it's a great one as well. The lights and stage were beautiful and creatively arranged. I personally liked the big, red heart-shaped which was on the screen while he was singing some ballads and boy, it was romantic. I tried taking pictures using my cell phone (so that I could send them to my Special via MMS) but the pictures turned out really, really bright and that's when I realized my cell phone camera is pretty...umm...useless, hee. Anyways, I also couldn't forget about the light sparks on the stage and confetti showered a part of the audience, and yes, it was beautiful.

Well, I gotta say Michael's Commitment Concert was great, heart-warming and touching, and I enjoyed it. And now, should I borrow Mel's hun's CD? Hmm... maybe I should! :)

Fun Weekend

It's already the month of October, yet I didn't realize it or should I say, I didn't even notice the tenth month of the year approaches. Perhaps, I was still in my holidays mood, but heck, college has started and I guess I gotta wake myself up. Anyway, once again, I gotta say time flies! Oh yes, time really, really flies especially during my last weekend. I just felt everything moved quickly, and it was like a moment here and there, and the next thing I knew, it's already another day. Sometimes, how I wish there's a time capsule, which I could set time in slow motion, or simply just rewind it, hehe! Okay, that's enough of my silly wish and my rambling of time and I think I better go straight to the content of my post. :)

Well, my Special and I went to Mid Valley Megamall on Saturday and we visited the pet shop. The puppies and doggies looked really adorable, but absolutely not the green iguanas. I do fear of these creatures and not forgetting other creepy crawlies as well. Even the tiniest crockroach scares me and I wonder how would I survive in Fear Factor (if I participate). Anyway, we had dinner at Domino's and also, we browsed and walked around the mall.

As for Sunday, Mel and I went to Bukit Jalil to watch Michael Wong live in concert. We were able to get two tickets at the very last minute (sponsored by Chivas) and although I ain't any die-hard fan of his, or even heard of his songs (well, at least I do know of 'Tong Hua' (Fairytale)), I decided to go and indulge in live music since it's been quite long I last attended a concert. And not forgetting to accompany and "chaperone" Mel, hehe. Anyway the concert was great, very nice and yes, I'll talk more about it in my next post.

And how could I forget dropping by at the pool before the concert where my Special was swimming. :) It lasted just a few minutes, despite that, nothing matters, as long as I could meet, talked and be with him. And ahh...by the way, he looked great (and as always).

* To my Special, although time flies, I cherish every single moment spent with you, and being with you is always wonderful.
* To Christine, if you're reading my blog, I wanna say it's nice to know you're able to attend Guang Liang Concert and yes, I could see you pretty clearly, the girl in a yellow top.

My Love

As I was indulging myself in some soft instrumental music yesterday, inspiration hit me like a flowing river. I took out a piece of paper and pen and I began to write. In the end, I got to compose a poem that entitled 'My Love', and I would like to dedicate it to my Special.

My Love,
You're the rainbow that paints my world, fills my soul
With beautiful colours and makes me whole

My Love,
You're the song in my heart that makes me dance
And showers me with love, passion and romance

My Love,
You're the sun that shines on me, you make me feel
Extra sunny,
cheery, perky and a real beauty

My Love,
You're the star that always twinkles, always sparkles
In my eyes, you're my Shining Star and my Special

My Love,
You're the wind beneath my two wings that makes me soar
Again and again I wanna say, I adore you more and more

My Love,
You're always on my mind, day and night, and I miss you so
Like the flowers miss the sun during winter in the meadow

My Love,
You're the one that I dream about when I close my eyes at night
'Cause you make feel alright, and I wanna hold you real close and tight

My Love,
I never carve your name on a stone, neither do I on a tree bark
But when you look into my heart, your name is there, with a "love mark"

My Love,

For every single second, every minute, every hour and every day
I'll never stop loving you, and my love for you will always stay

P.s To my Special, it's quite a simple poem but I hope you like it! :)

The Apprentice - in Chinese???

While I was reading 'The Star' this morning, an article in the 'world section' caught my attention. Well, it's reported that a chinese version of the American hit reality series 'The Apprentice' is coming soon to China, and the question is, how do you say "You're fired" in Chinese? Hmm, I bet it would be interesting.

Anyway, click here for more information on Chinese version of Trump's "Apprentice" in the works

Art of Baking II (Cornflakes Cookies)

Here are some of the pictures that Mel took while I was baking cookies for my Special Sweetheart.

This is the dough that I prepared by creaming butter and sugar, adding an egg, flour and a pinch of salt. Well, it looks half empty here because the dough is almost used up.

Some of the baking and kitchen utensils that are used during the process

Oooh....hot, hot, hot! Among all the pictures, this is my favourite :)

Ta-da! Cornflakes cookies :)

Hmmm.... now let me see what shall I bake next. :p

My Special and I went to IOI Mall yesterday and we watched 'The Banquet' (also known as "Ye Yan") featuring Zhang ZiYi. It's quite a stunning film and the costumes and set look amazing. At first I thought it's a chinese literature kind of movie but I guess I'm wrong. Well, it's more like a adaptation of William Shakespeare's Hamlet, so yeah, a chinese version with kung-fu style. Overall, I gotta say the movie is okay, very arty and if I were to rate it, I'd give 3-and-a-half stars out of 5.

After the movie, we went for bowling and it's fun. I do have to admit that I s*** at bowling but I think I got better, at least I could hit some pins haha. Well, definitely my technique of bowling was wrong (and still is) so yes, I gotta learn the proper one.

And as for dinner, we had it at A n W and goodness me, looking back it's been ages (more than 10 years) since I last had it. I guess the food is still pretty much the same but how could I forget about the curly, curly fries (look so cute) and root beer (with or without the float). :)

To my Special,
I love every moment and
time that we spent together
and I'd like to say
'Dangsineul saranghaeyo' (in Korean)

Big Shades & Art of Baking

As I was reading the newspaper this morning, I came across an article about the fall trend of 2006. Yes, big-funky-retro-cool kind of shades are back! I think they are really classic, chic and even give a full coverage to maintain your air of mystery. Since I'm having a pair, I thought of posting a picture of mine on my blog and do pardon me as I'm tempered by a bit of vanity today. :p Anyway, I gotta say sunglasses (in whatever types) are always my favorites as they make great accessories (fashion statement) and also to shield the eyes from both UVA and UVB rays. Ahh... nice! :)

As for baking, I think it's really fun, relaxing and a great pastime. And yes, I do consider it as an art. After all, it needs creativity and not forgetting patience. When I was a teen, I had no interest in baking, thus, I did not even bother to try it out, but as time goes by, baking begins to spark my interest and enables me to explore my choices. The last time that I baked was a 'No Bake Choco Peanut Butter' cookies (my first attempt and for my Special) and I guess you can imagine how amateur I really was (and still am). Well, I do believe there's always room for improvement and definitely, one should never stop learning and trying. Now, let me go browse more recipes and "study" the art of baking. :)

Juicy Red Thingy

Picture taken from http://www.tradewindsfruit.com/

Red cherry tomatoes - oh yes, my favourites! Cute little thingy with so much of goodness (packed with vitamin C, potassium, fiber and vitamin A in the form of health promoting beta-carotene) and mmm...juicy too! According to Wikipedia, it has 24 chromosomes and its scientific name is Lycopersicon esculentum cerasiforme. :)

Music Personality

I love music and I listen to music almost every day. I listen to music when I feel low, when I'm happy, when I'm moody, when I'm restless, when I'm angry, when I'm bored or simply, whatever mood I'm in. Well, I strongly feel without music, life is pretty dull and boring.

As I was browsing the web, I came across an article about personality and music. According to a research, there are four categories of music which people fall into - Reflective or Complex music, Fun & Simple music, Edgy and Aggressive music, and Energetic and Upbeat music. And below are the kind of music that may be related to your personality.

Reflective or Complex music: such as Classical, Blues, Jazz, and Folk music

  • Open to new experiences, creative, intellectual, and enjoy trying new things. In politics, they tend to lean toward the liberal side.
  • Wisdom, diversity, and fine arts are all important to them.
  • When it comes to lifestyle, high scorers in this category tend to be sophisticated, and relatively well off financially.
  • After a hard day of work, if they're not listening to music or reading a book, they enjoy documentary films, independent, classic, or foreign films.

Fun and Simple: : such as Pop, Religious, Country, and Soundtrack music

  • Tend to being introverted, unconventional, and artistic.
  • When it comes to morals and values, chances are that they lean toward the liberal side.
  • Consider beauty and inner harmony important principles in life.
  • When selecting a movie to watch, they prefer suspense movies, cult movies,or foreign films.

Edgy and aggressive music: such as Alternative, Rock, and Heavy Metal music

  • Don't get their 'kicks' on skydiving or rock climbing.
  • They tend to be friendly, less assertive than the average person, and conventional.
  • They tend to place a lot of importance on family security, salvation, and tranquility.
  • When they're not listening to music, watching television, or reading a book, they probably enjoy watching a dramatic movie, major motion picture, romance movie, or classic film.

Energetic upbeat music: such as Hip-hop, Rap, Funk, Soul, and Electronic

  • Introverted, less assertive than the average person, and detail oriented.
  • As for politics and values, they tend to lean to the conservative side, and value intellect, ambition, and high art.
  • When it comes to lifestyle, low scorers on the energetic and upbeat dimension often come from the middle and upper classes.
  • When they're not reading, they're probably watching a romance movie, classic film, or western movie.

Well, I love all type of music, as a result, I fall into all categories and the question is, does music really reflect or have to do with personality? Although the indications above are pretty accurate and true, it reflects but just a small portion out of it. After all, music is not a core factor for evaluating a person's personality as there are other important factors in life that should put in consideration as well.

And now, I shall go as I need to feed Baby Zen.

Buffet = Buf-fat?

When comes to buffet, a good buffet is always nice. It's interesting and tempting to see a variety of food and not forgetting an 'all-you-can-eat' kinda style. Well, I'm not a big eater or a glutton. But sometimes or on special occasions, I tend to eat quite a lot (at least, more than my usual meal). Perhaps, I should confess that I love to eat, and after all, haven't you guys heard of 'Eat, Drink and Be Merry?' ;)

On the other hand, buffet can make you eat non-stop and go on and on and on. As a result, too much or over-eating "makes you feel fat". Well, a couple of days ago, my Special and I had chicken buffet for dinner and oh my, we were darn full. Psychology began to hit me as I felt much heavier than my usual weight, and it hit me once again when I looked at chicken meat the next day as I felt "sick". I guess not only buffet "makes you fat", but it also plays with your mind, and in a more precise way, term of food psychology. And not forgetting double amount of workout sessions to burn unwanted calories.

Well, buffet certainly has its pros and cons. But I guess what most important is moderation and patience in order to lead to a good and healthy meal. By the way, don't ya think it's a great idea to change 'Eat, Drink & Be Merry' into 'Eat, Drink, Workout & Be Merry'? :P

*To my Special, I had a great time with ya on Saturday - the arcade games that we played, the buffet that we had and every moment that we spent together. And how could I forget about the chocolate chips walnut cookies. It looks so tempting and yummy, so delicious too!

New

New skin. New layout. New description. New contents.

In other words, it can be said as 'Rebranding'. But heck, I'm not here to rebrand my blog to gain profits, but in terms of trying out new things, opening my heart to possibilites and simply enjoying the proces of it.

And I'll be back for a full post soon. :)

1 More to Go

2 papers - done! 1 more to go and ahh... can't wait for my last paper (which is on Saturday). :)

Sometimes I think having 2 days break in between is pretty cool because at least, I could take a little breather.

Anyway, I shall go now but I'll be back for more, soon!

Tesco Ampang

Went to Tesco Ampang (last minute) with my mom after submitting some college stuffs to my lecturer and while waiting for Mel this morning. It's my first time going there and I gotta say among all the Tescos in Malaysia, I like the Ampang branch the most. It's very spacious (typical of Tesco) and I've never felt so comfortable before. Although I didn't visit all sections, I did go to the food section (mom needed to get some groceries) and there were so many things to look at. I even discovered some of the ingredients that I needed but due to time constraint, I thought of going there again, soon. :)

Hmm... now I know which place to hang out while waiting for Mel next time, hehe :P
