2 Days To Merdeka

Wahey, 2 more days to Merdeka and I wanna wish

Malaysia and all Malaysians

'Happy Merdeka'!

I'm going for holidays with my Special and friends in Port Dickson this Friday, therefore, my blog is on holidays as well. :D I will be back next week with more updates, and meanwhile, I also wanna wish ya all Happy Holidays and have a wonderful weekend!

My Sweet Special

My Special came over to watch the 'total lunar eclipse' with me yesterday and although we couldn't view it, I gotta say it's so sweet of him (and he's sweet as always). We spent time together, had dinner under the sky (while waiting) and it's lovely. We're excited about the eclipse actually, too bad it wasn't in sight, and perhaps it's due the unpleasant raining weather. Hopefully, we can view it next time around, and after all, it's interesting and romantic, ain't it... :D

*To my Special, eclipse or no eclipse, it doesn't matter as long as we're being together, and every single moment with you is so lovely and beautiful.

Pampered Lola

Here are some random photos of Lola that I took and thought sharing them with ya all. :)

Look at how she sleeps... cute!

Side view of her. I guess she's really in her deep sleep.
I wonder does dog ever dream? :P

Resting and relaxing. She's a bit camera shy,
thus she ain't wanna look at me.

Lola and her new "room". Dad and mom bought it for her,
and whee... she likes it so much.

When she's not sleeping, she comes out to play.
This is one of her fave games - transferring fluffy indoor slippers
from dining area to living room.

Her new "room" with drinking bottle, her fave pillow and toys.
The blue thingy next to it is her potty training

A basket of dog's food and accessories (from god-bro Terence's mom) -
Biscuits from Blackwood, food supplement,
a comb, dry shampoo with sweet strawberry scent,

fast-drying towel, and a very cute dog collar (with bell).

Ahh...doggies are so pampered nowadays ain't it? There are just so many things and accessories in the market, and humans are treating them more than just animals (more like friends / family members) if ya compares back then when doggies were only as watchdogs. I guess time has changed and the lifestyle of a dog is getting modern indeed.

And um... should I get a blog for Lola too? Haha! ;P

A Thousand Different Ways

Ever since listening to Clay's first album 'Measure Of A Man', I've been a huge fan of his, and when it comes to his latest album, I gotta say it's great and he's truly done it again. For your lil' info, Clay's the runner up for American Idol season 2 and although I did not watch, I think he should have won instead. Back to his album, most of his songs are cover versions but what I like most is that, the covers are well done although the arrangement of music is quite different from the originals. Besides, his voice is great and flawless and I gotta say he never disappoint. Overall , I'm rating it 9/10.

oooooBubble Teaooooo

"What's that?? What is the girl drinking?," I asked one of my friends while we were walking back to school.

"Huh...? Who?" My friend replied with a puzzle look.

"You know... the girl who's drinking something with round thingy at the bottom with big fat straw"

"Oh... I think it's called bubble tea. New drink in town."

"Have you tried it?" I asked.

"No, not yet. Wanna try?"

"Sure!" I answered with delight.

Well, the conversation was many, many years ago while I was still fresh in high school. It was pretty interesting as I saw many students drinking Bubble Tea, mostly at noon. It ain't surprising as the Bubble Tea shop was located just a few walks away from my school, thus, it's truly convenient. I ain't a frequent Bubble tea drinker but I did like it as I think it tasted pretty nice and refreshing. And not forgetting those tiny round thingy or pearls at the bottom of the drink. Looked cute I gotta say. :)

And a couple of weeks ago, I had Kiwi Bubble Tea (my other favourite is sour plum) and it tasted really good. Dad went to night market (usually on Fridays to get his fave Rojak) and asked if I wanted anything so I told him Bubble Tea. As I was drinking, I thought of the conversation that I had with my friend of how she and I discovered the new drink in town. Back then, it was crazy and everyone wanted Bubble Tea. The shop (nearby my school) had very good business and all teas sold like hot, hot cakes. But now, the craze has gone, still it's nice to have Bubble Tea once in a while. And perhaps, I would like to have another one tonight.

What I Got For My 23rd B'day

As ya all have read about 'Birthday Moments' in my last post (::click here if ya haven't / wanna read again::), I would like to share some of the photos of my B'day gifts this year.

Red packets from dad and mom

Accessories from my Special
(Heart shaped for my B'day and
pink horse a gift from him not long ago)
Ahh... swweeet....

Can ya guess...

A stylish silver box

And voila, a very nice watch

Apart from above, I also got a pair of gold strappy sandals from dad, rebonded hair worth RM250 from mom, a blue-ish green top from sis (pardon me Mel, didn't wear it on my B'day), and Terrier puppy Lola. Although Lola isn't my main B'day gift, still I consider her as one as she came to our home in August, so yeah, can say in conjunction with my B'day, tee-hee. Well, here she is once again...

Meanwhile, I also received several B'day sms-es and Friendster testimonials from my friends, and I gotta say it's nice and thoughtful of them.

*There are more pictures of Aquaria soon, so stay tuned!*

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Whether there are birthday gifts or not, it doesn't matter as I believe what matters most is constant love and care, and I gotta say I'm truly blessed to have my family, my Special, my 3 doggies- Bruno, Rino & Lola, and all my friends with me.
Birthday Moments
It was my 23rd birthday yesterday and it was wonderful as my Special and I spent every moment and time together. Well, he gave me a surprise, not wanting to tell me where we heading to (but just KLCC) and it was interesting as I tried to guess each location and the activities that we gonna do. :D
The first location that we went was Aquaria KLCC. Since its opening, I've never been there and at last, I'm truly delighted that my Special and I got to visit the place and I gotta say it's great. There're so many variety of sea creatures and not forgetting other creatures from the reptile family. Aquaria eventually reminded me of the beach holidays that my Special and I went, especially snorkelling where we got to see the underwater world. It was pretty similar, the only difference was, we couldn't swim, couldn't feed and play with the fishes, and of course there were much more species compared to Tioman & Redang. If you were to ask me was I in awe, definitely I will say yes (and still am), as Aquaria's such a good place for discovery and also, I'm so delighted to discover and explore, and have all the fun with my Special.
After we finished our discovery at Aquaria, my Special brought me to the LRT and headed to Ampang Park. This time, I was guessing hard as I had no idea where we're going but it was sweet of him as he lead me and after walking a short distance, we reached our destination which was Nikko Hotel (next to Menara Citibank). He then brought me to a chic cafe and we had a great, great dinner buffet. The food was finger-licking good and the desserts were tempting enough as I had quite a number of fanciful cakes and pastries. And before we started our first round of buffet, I still remember vividly as my Special gave me a silver box and asked me to open it. To my surprise, it was a chic and elegant Solvil et Titus watch and I gotta say I like it very lots. In fact, he also gave me very sweet mobile phone accessory and now, I have it dangling on my phone antenna (with the pink horse which was given by him not long ago as well).
As time went by, it was time to go so we headed back to KLCC. We didn't take the LRT but a walk (or perhaps I should say a stroll back, tee-hee). He then sent me home and at around 11-something-ish, I reached home (with a sweet and good-night kiss).
~♥ To my Special, yesterday was so wonderful and I love each and every moment that we shared and spent together. It was beautiful indeed and although time flies, I wanna say I cherish every moment that we had, hold it dear, and place it in my heart. I also wanna say I love the surprises, the gifts, and most importantly, being and spending time with you. There are just no other words could describe how I feel. I love you and loving you more and more each day! ♥~
My Favourite Chinese Movie (So Far...)
Watched Flash Point (starring Donnie Yen and Louis Koo) with my Special at GSC Mid Valley yesterday and I gotta say it's such a cool, great and exciting movie. From the start until the end, there weren't any boring bits and in fact, it left me totally breathless. Ahh... my very favourite movie this season and if I were to watch it again, I ain't mind watching it over and over again! :D And speaking about the movie characters, I think Louis Koo is so cool and so is Donnie Yen, and I love their fighting scenes lots. Very exciting, and not forgetting those music beats that compliment and blend with the movie perfectly.
To all action-pack lovers out there, this movie is one you should not miss! It's truly a great one and I'm rating Flash Point 10/10 with 2 thumbs up.
And since Louis Koo is one of the actors in Flash Point, I thought of posting pictures of him that my Special took while we're at KLCC last year.
Nice, nice, nice
Facial Masks
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
What You Should Know About Facial Masks
CareFair.com

There seems to be differing opinions when it comes to the question: Do masks/facials really work?
More tend to say “yes” than “no,” but there are some conditions:

Consistency
You need to use facial masks on a regular basis. If you only take a multi-vitamin once a month, it’s really not going to make much of a difference and the same is true of facial masks. In order for your skin to reap the full rewards of a facial mask, you need to be applying one at least once a week. Done regularly, a mask can re-hydrate dry skin or soak up excess oil and tighten pores on oily skin. (The best for oily skins are masks make of milk of magnesia). Additionally, AHA peels with concentrations of 20% to 35% with a pH of 3.5 do a fantastic job of making skin appear smoother.

Know your Stuff
If you are applying a facial mask yourself, make sure you are using one that is appropriate for your skin-type. There are ones specifically for dry or oily skin; or if your skin appears to be especially dull you’ll want to find a mask that contains alpha hydroxy acids. Alpha hydroxy masks in particular are much stronger than your average mask, so you should really only use them about once a month. On the other hand, if you are going in for a professional facial or other treatment, make sure you are going to a reputable expert. Many in the field question the use of various peels and other types of skin treatments when performed by anyone other than a physician. If you’re going for a mud mask, an esthetician will do, but anything more complex and you’ll want to make sure you are getting top-notch treatment.

Don’t Expect Miracles, and Just Relax>
Even those who say using facial masks are a bunch of bologna, can’t deny the benefits that come from the relaxation you experience when you are forced to just stop for at least twenty minutes. Just for the sake of argument, let’s say masks don’t do a darn thing for your skin. Well, at the very least, they don’t do any harm and everyone needs at least twenty minutes a week to just lay still and close their eyes.

So, give yourself a facial every week if you feel like it. After all, why not? It certainly couldn’t hurt!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I'm not a girl who does facial masks daily but at least twice a month. Perhaps I should really start doing it every week in order to have beautiful skin. Although I get quite tons of compliments on my skin, I believe there's still always room for perfection. :) Anyways, as for beauty spas, I don't visit them as it ain't my cup of tea, thus, I prefer facial masks more in the comfort of my own home. Well, surely it's wonderful to visit the spas as they're luxurious and pampering, however, I feel it's much better to spend on something else like make-up and clothes. After all, there's always D-I-Y facial masks. :)
In the meantime, there's other cosmetic facial masks / products which I truly like, and one of them is St. Ives Peel-Off Hydroxy Masque. Each time I use it, I gotta say it would leave my skin smoother, softer and more radiant, and yes, definitely the top of my beauty list. :D
Lola and Carrier Bag
Wahey, this is Lola, my new Terrier puppy and she's just 3 weeks old. Isn't she cute... :D
There are three doggies in my family now - Bruno (the Tai-Koh), Rino (the Attention-Seeker) and Lola (the Little Princess). :D
And guess what? My god-bro's mom gave us a dog carrier bag and it looks very nice and comfy. I even thought of bringing her along (in it) next time I'm out shopping. Erm... perhaps not. At the park is much better, ain't it...? Tee-hee :P
And I did try to put Rino in, but too bad, he can't fit in. Ahh, never mind, I'm sure he won't mind at all since he likes moving here and there all by himself. :)
*I did wanna name the new puppy August at first (because we got her on 2nd of August), but after some serious names selection, I decided to call her Lola instead.
I'm On My Way
I'm not there yet, but I know I'm on my way...
As I was listening to one of the songs by Kellie Pickler (one of the American Idol finalists) yesterday, I came across a song which I found it inspiring and motivating, nice and soothing, and not forgetting has a slow tempo. Well, 'I'm not there yet, but I know I'm on my way...' is one of the stanza and I do like it lots as it portrays strength and courage, chasing dreams and making them happen.
There are other nice tracks too but I gotta say this is one of my favourite. Overall, I'd rate her latest album 'Small Town Girl' 8 out of 10.
