Oscars Winners & Red Carpet 2007

Watched The Oscars 2007 on Star Movies and I gotta say what a glamorous event. It's exciting to watch all the actor and actresses, and what I liked most was the Red Carpet and stage performances, and also, how could I forget about all the Oscars winners. There's one who's truly unforgettable - Jennifer Hudson from Dreamgirls (From American Idol to Oscars, and it's. just. simply. impressive).

As for the Red Carpet, below are some of my top favourites which I thought of sharing them with ya all.

Cameron Diaz

Rachel Weisz

Reese Witherspoon

Nicole Kidman

Rinko Kikuchi

Cate Blanchett

Beyonce Knowles

Penelope Cruz

Beautiful & gorgeous, they are indeed.

Secret Love Codes

My Special gave me some codes to decode, and after trying a few times, I think I managed to decode them. :) And if you do notice, I didn't really show the decoded message here because it's between my Special and I, and after all, secret codes are not meant to be revealed, right? Tee-hee...

Meanwhile, I'd like to wish ya all

Happy Valentine's Day

And to my Special,
this is exclusively just for you

Lucky Me

Lady Luck was smiling at me again, and yes, I've won a set of Loreal White Perfect Skincare (worth RM250) that I participated in the Clove Two contest last year. As a girl who is fond of beauty and cosmetics, I gotta say I was totally delighted (and still am). Well I haven't open the products and try it, but I'm really looking forward to it as I believe I would have more radiant and beautiful skin. In fact, I'm using the facial cleanser that I bought (before I received the prize) and I gotta say it's a great one. :)

I wonder when I could win some extravagant prizes such as a car, house, and even $$$$$. C'mon Lady Luck, please smile BrIgHtLy at me ya... ;)

Last Day At Work

Friday (9/2/07) was my last day at work as an examination attendant, and looking back, I didn't even realize that I've worked for two weeks. It seemed that time was ticking pretty slowly. Anyways, I did nothing much as there weren't many venues opened as examinations were less. Instead, I was assigned to do more paper work at the office which I found it really interesting.

In conjunction with my last day at work, here is a few of my inner thoughts about part-time job.

  • I realize work gives me a sense of fulfillment and accomplishment, no matter how boring, tiring or difficult a job is.
  • It enables me to socialize and expand my circle of friends and contacts of all ages, from all walks of life.
  • To gain working experiences and exposure.
  • To explore, test and evaluate career choices.
  • To withstand peer pressure and stress, and to build self-discipline.
  • Last but not least, to earn some $$$ of course. ^_^

~Well, do wish me luck as I search for more jobs.~

Tiring Day At Work But It's Ok

What a tiring day as my team watched over about two hundred students in the examination hall today. It's my second time watching over a large number of students actually, and previously, I complained how terrible it was, but then I realized it's not that bad after all.

And how could I forget about the afternoon session where the students were sitting for 'Colour Studies' exam under Mass Communication. I gotta say it's INTERESTING as I got to glance at their answers while I walked around to check if there were any students in need. Well, 'Colour Studies' is to test the students' creativity and creativity is what I love, so yes, it's something that got my attention. There was a moment where I wish I could "sit for the exam", just to bring out my creativeness, unfortunately, it's truly impossible. Still, I was "entertained" by them, my boredom began to fade away, and bit by bit, I felt totally recharged. :)

Shed Some Pounds + Self-Discipline

I'm not a girl who does workout diligently, although I'm body conscious. In more precisely, I'm just a girl who does workout occasionally, or whenever I want to. The workout machine in the back room is no longer running and that's a pity I gotta say, as each time I want to use it, my tiredness draws me away. Perhaps, I should really start using it again in order to have a fitter and toner body, and do pardon me if this affiliates with my vanity in other ways.

Yesterday was really tiring as I worked. All the runnings up and down and more than 20 times of washroom trips (to watch over the students) quite got on my nerves but thankfully, I wore my pair of Skechers sneakers instead of high heel kitten pointed shoes, thus, not much of physical damage done although I did feel pain on my calves. I felt I had run many miles or even entered a Jog-A-Thon.

BUT, as I look at in a different perspective, it's kinda silly and de-motivating of me to just complain and whine. After all, there are no jobs in this world that are easy, and I believe what it takes is to have a positive attitude and of course, this includes self determination.

And now, I've put all the negative thoughts about my work away from my head and I tell myself this - It's not that bad, at least, I'm able to build self-discipline, gain some experience, earn some $$$ and shed some pounds in two weeks time. :)
