Holidays at Genting Highlands (Full Post)

Here it is, a full post about how I spent my holidays with my Special in Genting Highlands.

Day 1

As we reached the peak, we could see Genting was full of cars and people, and was pretty congested. It was Labour Day so it wasn't surprising as I believe many like to opt for Genting as it's situated at the top of the hill. Well, the breeze was very cool and it was misty, and I gotta say it's relaxing. How I wish KL weather would be the same as Genting, and if it's cool + a bit sunny, it'd be just perfecto, tee-hee. Anyway, we got to check in at First World after waiting for more than 30 mins (after more than 100 of people) and I felt my lil' luck appeared when I guessed the correct counter number 12. ;)

After we refreshed ourselves in the room, we went for lunch at Kenny Rogers. It was a late lunch I gotta say and by the time we finished, I think it's already 4PM something. Since we're so full, we decided to skip dinner as we planned to have supper at night instead.

As time went by, we took a stroll and walked around while we enjoyed the cool, cool breeze. We even had our pictures taken together and yup, it was simply nice.

8PM finally arrived and we managed to squeezed ourselves out of the large crowd and headed to the open air car park (outside Genting Hotel). Everyone was anticipated and excited for the fireworks (in conjuction of Labour day) and I gotta say the fireworks were simply BEAUTIFUL. The dull dark misty sky was brightly sparkled as beautiful fireworks shot up to the sky. Some even looked like shooting star and filled with wonderful patterns. Well, I'm truly delighted because I got to watch it with my Special as he was right next to me. Ahh... what more can I say.... ♥ ♥ ♥

After the firewroks display, it's the Fly:Defy Gravity Show. It was held at The Pavillion, First World and a great one. We're seated at the front and entertained by great performances, wonderful dances and choreography, stunts and acrobatics, cool illusions and magic shows, and not forgetting wonderful and fanciful costumes. I liked the Waterlings the most as their costumes looked dreamy in sheer, sparkling blue-white, and especially with their wings. :)

For your lil info, Fly is about two tribes, the Waterlings and the Skyfires. According to Genting's official website, the evil Skyfires who are bigger and stronger also had the advantage of flight. With every full moon, hundreds of Skyfires take flight to attack the virtually defenceless Waterlings. Cowering in fear, the Waterlings hide to survive. And desperate, they called upon YV to save them. But YV knew there was only one way for the Waterlings to defeat the Skyfires. They had to learn to FLY. :)

And... oh yes, we also got out picture taken together with the tribes. Ahh... simply nice! :D

Later in the night, we got back to our room to have supper and then headed to the casino. After all, many like to go the casino as it's one of the popular places in Genting although I myself ain't a gambling maniac. I did play the jackpot but TOO BAD, I won nothing. Sometimes, I really feel I ain't lucky in the gambling world. Perhaps, I should start hunting and looking for Lady Luck seriously, tee-hee.

Day 2

The second day of our holidays was the last one. We had free breakfast buffet at First World Cafe, and eventually, I couldn't really wake up as I slept late last night. However it's cute to see the way my Special woke me up and how I reacted. Back to breakfast, the food was just fine, nothing much changed and what I liked most was the scrambled eggs. It was delicious, and yes, we did have a heavy breakfast.

After we checked out at around 12 something pm, we headed to the arcade and indoor games which is situated at Genting Hotel. We played some arcade games as well as games that contained coupons where we could redeem for prizes later. It was fun and we got to win a bookmark and gold key chain. Although they're nothing much, I gotta say they do make lovely mementos.

Last but not least, we had our late lunch (due to heavy breakfast) at Marrybrown Restaurant. Looking back, it's been AGES since I last dined at Marrybrown. If I'm not mistaken, Marrybrown is well-known with its fried chicken apart from KFC. Nevertheless the food that we ordered was not too bad and I did enjoy it as I felt a lil bit hungry already after all those games activities.

We then went to the bus terminal to return to Kuala Lumpur.

*To my Special,
I had such a great and wonderful time with you.
Although time flies,
Every moment we spent together
I'll always treasure.
I love you my Sweetie Pie Pie!
