Extra Session. New Wardrobe

Got back from tutoring an hour ago and guess what, my boss decided to give me another session for BM. It's good news indeed as more working hours equal to higher pay. :) To those who don't know about my second part-time job, I'm working at one of the tuition centers at Bandar Sg. Long every Saturday mornings. Hopefully I could get the night classes soon.

And whee, I gonna get a new wardrobe soon. I'd been complaining about the insufficient space in my old chest of drawers as I'm getting more and more clothes. Just blame it on the sales and shopping malls, tee-hee :P

Alright, have a great weekend ya all! Will be back soon.

Working at Kumon

Yesterday was my first day at Kumon (as a part-timer) and I gotta say it's interesting and I enjoyed working there lots. Although I had to multi-task and deal with kids at the same time (yes, it's "crazy" and I was as busy as a bee), it's pleasant enough and I believe it's great to learn new things. It's a bit messy to me at first, but as time went by, I began to understand the flow of work and things got easier and it did help me much. All the staffs were helpful and it's really nice to work in such environment. Even the kids were friendly enough and I must say they're so, so adorable. I still remember one of the moments where I was busy recording some data, a cute little girl approached me and gave me a sweet.

Cute little girl : Hello teacher, for you... *hands me a toffee sweet*
Me : *feels surprise* For me... ?
Cute little girl : Yes, for you teacher *nods her head*
Me : Aww, thank you, very sweet of you...

Cute little girl just smiled and then, she started doing her work as I watched over her and guided her.

And there's another moment where a little boy had to do some writing work. I guess he wasn't really interested as he kept yawning and wrote quite badly so I tried to encourage him.

Me : Do you like stars?
Cute little boy : *Looks at me* Yeeess...!
Me : How many stars do you want?
Cute little boy : Five stars! *shows me 5 using his fingers*
Me : I'll give you 5 stars if you write nicely... ok?
Cute little boy : Ok teacher... *nods his head and starts writing*

Ahh... kids are just so adorable ain't they? :) Now, I'm feeling more excited to go to work tomorrow, tee-hee...

Working Is Nice

I started working (as a part timer) yesterday and I gotta say it's not that bad after all. I decided to work as I am having two weeks semester break and I strongly believe it'd be interesting in terms of gaining some experience and earning some $$$. I still remember during the briefing a week ago, I was told that the job as a examination attendant (under Examination Division and Credit Accumulation) was a super-tiring job but after started working yesterday, I think it's not that tiring. But some of the staffs told me it's too earlier to tell and I should prepare for the worst in two weeks time. Hopefully they are not scaring me away but I still think it's an easy and fun job, and I believe I can handle it until the end. :)

Apart from working, I also got to meet a bunch of nice people. They are very friendly and sociable indeed and there's one girl whom I'll remember. Her name is Lee Lee and during my first day at work, we're assigned to work in the same team so I got to talk to her and the next thing I knew, our conversation was endless and it seemed like we've known each other for years. Meanwhile, hours after hours and as time passed, we got to know other people and our clique grew from two to five.

"Although all of you are here for only two weeks, no matter how tiring or boring the job is, just do your best and enjoy yourselves." This is what Miss Lai (one of the examination officers) told us and oh yes, I gotta agree with her. :)
